In my earliest recollections, I'm posing for my parents as they photograph me smiling for their camera. Then later, as a gradeschooler, I was in my father's darkroom practicing at enlarging those same images. My own personal photos mean so much to me. I want to bring to others those same feelings; not a cold portrait, but an informal image capturing who that person is or what that place means.

Idaho outdoorsman meets Hawaiian wahine. Craig and Jayna are discovering new things together as a couple- he’s introducing her to Idaho fishing and camping and she’s teaching him the hula. Jayna says Craig is perfect for her, and he says “yep, that’s true”.
They’re getting married this spring on the island of O’ahu. I see a trip to Hawaii in my future-Aloha!
The sweet simplicity and closeness of Brock and Kelsay were evident when I spent a few moments photographing their engagement earlier this fall. We roamed around the Idaho Botanical Gardens, with rain threatening towards the end, but this couple stayed close and shared with each other their own little sunshine. They’re planning a wedding for February (brrrrr!)
I first visited with Kelsey and Nick about photography a year out from their wedding date…love it when a couple plans early!
We snapped their engagement session awhile back when it was still warm and their images show how close and relaxed they are with each other. Kelsey and Nick are the epitome of a sweet, young couple in love, excited to begin their lives together. Even a little bit giddy.
They’re pledging to stick together forever next June.
