In my earliest recollections, I'm posing for my parents as they photograph me smiling for their camera. Then later, as a gradeschooler, I was in my father's darkroom practicing at enlarging those same images. My own personal photos mean so much to me. I want to bring to others those same feelings; not a cold portrait, but an informal image capturing who that person is or what that place means.

I photograph the covers of the Idaho Women’s Journal, and the latest issue features Olympic cyclist Kristin Armstrong and her sweet boy. Kristin is a former bride of mine (look back on the blog to 11-15-07) and I admire her career and just love her happy, relaxed personality. You can pick up this issue of the IWJ around Boise including Albertsons and Moxie Java. Kristin's makeup was done by Jamie Jones Verner who also did the makeup for our style shoot featured recently on Style Me Pretty.
Style Me Pretty, the ultimate wedding blog, is featuring today a whimsical style shoot which Brandi, owner of Soiree Wedding and Event Planning, and I pulled together for fresh inspiration for brides. Killer heels, glam hair, colorful accessories, corals, pinks and blues with a touch of mercury glass were pulled together for the bride who desires a little something unique.
