Trip To Solvang

Before beginning the next wedding season, I took the opportunity to step outside my box this past week and recharge at a workshop in scenic Solvang, California. Lead by generous, super talented and pretty-much-famous film photographer, Jose Villa, part of the time was spent picture-snapping away (like crazy). I wanted to share images of the natural, yet pulled together, look of these beautiful brides. I especially love the unexpected flower in Natalie's hair and Jocelyn's deep, smoky eyes.

Nicolai

 

I’m primarily a wedding photographer and usually post images from those events on my blog- but right now it’s that lull right before the powerful force called “wedding season”- so I thought I’d toss up a few images of super-photogenic, good-natured Nicolai. I shot his senior images this past week on the coldest day…felt like a wind chill factor of 20 degrees. (yep, I wore gloves in April) The crazy wind kept rocking my camera around and here was Nicolai... in his unaffected youth ....sporting flip flops and a t-shirt. So cute.
