Miranda’s gettin’ maaarried!

Miranda, her family and I’ve known each other a long time and I’ve photographed her way back since her teens….when she was first dating Dylan. Fast forward years and Miranda’s marrying the love of her life. Her excitement is completely infectious and it makes her wedding that much more special.  She’s also helped me with my photography so many times, and her positivity is something I can always count on. I know she’ll be one of the most excited and happiest of brides.

author portrait on rachel gibson's book

Available today is the latest book from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Rachel Gibson. I’m very excited to say that the author-photo Rachel chose to use on her book is one I shot during her 2010 portrait session. Which is a double “yay” since I actually read her books!

Any Man Of Mine is a chick-lit/romance and as it turns out, the main character is a wedding planner (good idea for a main character). I’ve read all of Rachel’s books (usually indulging on vacation) and am familiar with her style. So I had to ask her, “Rachel, if you end up writing a wedding photographer into this book, can you make her seriously hip and stylish?”  Her answer…“well, there’re always rewrites”.

engaged! carlie and matt {boise wedding photographer}

Two "outdoorsies" in love, Carlie and Matt were leaning towards a cold weather engagement session. I like any place with a palm tree so when I heard that I was like "whaaaat"? Early spring in Idaho is pretty much a sampling of all the weather options, so when a halfway cold, yet mild, day came around we headed for a friend's farm to snap the photos. Love Matt's patience and Carlie's sway when she walks toward the camera.
