In my earliest recollections, I'm posing for my parents as they photograph me smiling for their camera. Then later, as a gradeschooler, I was in my father's darkroom practicing at enlarging those same images. My own personal photos mean so much to me. I want to bring to others those same feelings; not a cold portrait, but an informal image capturing who that person is or what that place means.

GREAT engagement session with Kyle and Amy. We photographed around downtown Boise mixing it up a bit- throwing a taxi cab in for color. They’re busy planning a wedding for mid-September at Barber Park.
This couple met in California at a pool party- Walt noticing her right away as Devin being the only girl actually in the pool. On their dates that followed she taught him to surf, he taught her to kayak and they’ve been on one big adventure ever since.
It was truly a pleasure capturing their important day. There were all sorts of fun details and unexpected surprises that made this wedding unique. The ceremony was on the beach of Payette Lake with most people dressed in their nicest wedding-guest outfits and yet...barefoot. (Later, I unloaded a small pile of sand from the bottom of my camera bag onto the floor of the hotel.)
The dinner reception was at Meadowood Lodge B&B (check out the last image of the glowing tent late at night) and guests were treated to a beautiful meadow view complete with a turquoise blue pond. Mr. Potato Head was there along with tons of crazy hats to wear for a celebration dance. And, good thing... pah-lenty of mosquito spray. Sarah Hart of Story Book Weddings pulled this unique water-themed event together.
